Team 1901: Flightless Chickens Brighton, NY FIRST Lego League

About Us

We formed our FIRST Lego League team Fall 2008, with members from French Road Elementary School in Brighton, NY. Our motto is "We ain't got flight, but we've got fight!" At the Finger Lakes FLL qualifying tournament (Nov 17, 2007) we won the Judges Award for how well everyone participated in the technical presentation. At the Regional Tournament (Dec 9, 2007) we won the Against All Odds award: right before our 3rd trial, our robot was accidently smashed apart. None the less, we got it re-assembled (a bit crooked!) and finished the tournament. For our "energy audit" project we learned about energy use at the town hall and library. We were sponsored by our parents, and met once every week (and sometimes on weekends!) at the home of our team coach, Henry Kautz.
