Coursework
- Prepare for each class by reading the assigned texts on the topics to be discussed that day. Make notes both about what you thought was important and what you found confusing. Bring the notes and questions to class!
- Do not expect to understand everything in the readings the first time through. The success of the class time will largely depend upon the questions you bring!
- Do not be intimidated by the length of the reading assignments, particularly in AI: A Modern Approach. This text is written in a conversational style, almost as a transcript of Stuart Russell's lectures. You might find it helpful as you read to imagine that you are listening to Hugh Grant (who, like Stuart, went to Oxford) talking with that kind of upper-class English accent that makes absolutely anything sound both witty and profound.
